The Kondokali Beach is another sunbathing venue awarded the blue flag. It is, again, located in the eastern side of Corfu, only 6 kilometers from Corfu Town. Despite its proximity to the capital of the island, the beach is surrounded by a countryside landscape, the nearby coniferous and eucalyptus woods contributing heavily to the wonderful experience visitors can have here. Accommodation is offered by villas and hotels which complement the general elegant dash of the beach. Other establishments refer to eating and drinking venues – pubs, coffee shops, restaurants and fish taverns – as well as to facilities enabling waters sports activities. Mountain biking is an appealing alternative to sunbathing, and bikes for rent are available at the Kondokali Bay Hotel.
