The Archeological Museum impresses, the many archeological exhibits aside, by its famous Gorgon Medusa statue, which is said to be one of the best preserved archaic works of art in the entire Greece. All items displayed are findings ascertained to date back from Antiquity, more precisely, from the Archaic, Classical, Hellenistic and Roman periods, so a visit to this museum is a complementary manner of spending good quality time in Corfu.
